If getting your child to sit down and do homework feels like a daily negotiation, you're not alone. Homework resistance is one of the most common challenges parents face — but the solution often lies less in forcing compliance and more in building the right structure and environment.

Step 1: Choose the Right Time
There is no single "best" time for homework — it depends on your child's temperament and schedule. Consider these two main approaches:
- Homework right after school: Works well for kids who like to "get it over with" and then fully relax. Keep in mind they may need a 15–20 minute snack break first.
